I’d like to think I’m open-minded. I tend to look at things from all angles and in many different people’s shoes. ~ I used to do it more in the past, but I still occasionally get random ideas for new inventions, and unfortunately I always forget to make a note of them. I really admire things where you think, ‘How the hell did they come up with that idea?’ ~ I’m an unnatural blonde in the physical sense but a blondie through and through when it comes to common sense. My gullibility, in particular, is my inner devil. ~ I will never understand UGG boots. Ever. Please follow the link. ~ I have a deadly desire for music 24/7: my iPod is one of my dearest possessions bearing a total of 5708 songs to date, although every now and then a mysterious song that I’ve never heard before presents itself on shuffle. I happen to think I have the best music taste - I listen to a bit of everything which I’m rather proud of, although this of course is a progression as I’ve only just heard of Bonobo. I am more averse to chart music; another example of my life’s ongoing ambition of straying from the crowd. ~ I also couldn’t live without fashion. In case it isn’t already obvious my craving is for vintage. I always fancy a good root through a charity shop or vintage boutique and thrive on the success of a beautiful find. My primary addiction is Dutty in Bristol. ~ I admire posh people. ~ I think the notion that money can’t buy you happiness is nonsense… as long as you don’t let it deteriorate your morals or relationships. ~ I find it hard to grasp new technology and still don’t have a Twitter or Skype account. ~ I’m a criminal when it comes to impulse buying. ~ I have quite a sick, immature sense of humour. Only a pinchful of people on the planet understand it. Most can’t tell when I’m joking and I can’t decipher most mainstream jokes. ~ Lee Evans makes my skin crawl. ~ I drink far too much tea. ~ I had an attempt at being ambidextrous during my early years of writing but eventually settled on the left hand. ~ I love nothing better than a cuddle and a head massage, or someone playing with my hair. Me playing with my hair is one of my worst habits, along with picking off my nail paint (a tactic to appear nonchalant in certain situations). ~ I would give whoever invented pizza a great big kiss of gratitude. And on that note Italian is my favourite cuisine. ~ My favourite smells are petrol, launderettes, peanut butter, freshly cut grass, Ghost perfume, hot doughnuts, sunshine, barbecues and old books. ~ EastEnders is my guilty pleasure. ~ I’m a firm believer of the power of the mind and live my life by the Law of Attraction. I aim to think, feel and act positively at least 95% of the time. ~ The other 5% is taken up by worrying too much and a tendency to over-think and over-analyse things. ~ I also believe that everything happens for a reason. ~ On the subject of heels, the higher the better. ~ I’m a grammar geek and get a little too emotional when people use it incorrectly. I’m an avid fan of linguistic prescription. ~ I have a ridiculous obsession with any sort of moisturiser. I wouldn’t be caught dead without my signature lip balm (which is applied more than regularly throughout the day) and if I’ve left the house with dry hands I start to feel extremely uncomfortable. ~ I love old people and they love me. I get a lot of pleasure from overhearing their small-talk conversations about the weather and the unreliability of the bus service. ~ I procrastinate terribly and always leave things to the last minute, without exception. I work better under pressure. ~ I’m not a vegetarian, but I absolutely adore animals and am thoroughly upset by animal cruelty. I have a particular soft spot for the cats, of which I own three. I never have and never will wear real fur. ~ I admit I love attention but only from my dress sense or my achievements. ~ I like being given tasks that keep me busy, no matter how trivial, since I can’t stand having nothing to do. I like to make the most out of every minute. ~ I like simplicity. ~ I don’t really like having my photo taken and if a video was shot of me I’d rather avoid watching it. ~ I like extreme things; opposite ends of the spectrum; all or nothing. ~ I like unusual things, and I like things to be unusual. Normal is boring! ~ Later in life I want to live somewhere that’s sunny all year round. ~ I laugh at my own jokes.
