Orange is a truly no-go colour for me when it comes to clothing: it is one of my least favourite colours and clashes terribly with my hair. I own an orange t-shirt - the sole reason for this is the fact that I bought it from Topshop. I know for a fact that if I saw the same t-shirt in Primark it would easily skip my vision and any suggestion of buying it would be met with a less than approving attitude. Although admittedly snobbish or picky, labels do influence my taste towards a piece of clothing. Not because I’m proud to spend more on an item, but because of the connotations and target market around a certain brand. When you think Topshop you think cool, quirky, unique and access to high fashion on the high street; when you think Primark you might think fake, cheap, disposable and at times tacky (despite its fairly recent move up the ladder of stylishness - an attempt at high fashion for ridiculously, although deliciously, steal prices).
I do, however, have a craze for orange nail paint and lipstick.
